This day is always a fairly rough one for me. I wasn’t sure how much emotional focus I could apply to it this year given the current issues facing our Country and the challenges that seem to grow with every passing day in 2020. Do I have any emotional bandwidth left for the anniversary this year? Then I thought maybe I could focus not on the attack itself but on the unity and strength that followed the morning of 9/11. It was a demonstration to the world that Americans are made of something just a little bit different. I don’t think I even know exactly how to describe it. I suppose only Americans understand. Whatever it may be it’s something that the world no doubt takes notice of. Some love us for it and some don’t but that doesn’t matter to me. When we are united and wrapped up together in the foundation of our Constitution, the idea of freedom and The Republic we always thrive, survive and win. God Bless the United States of America and her ability to reset and persevere through her designed checks and balances and her moments of unity, even in the darkest of times.
